How to choose the right hat size?

The right hat size makes wearing it truly comfortable. We will help you easily determine your head circumference and choose the right size.

If you have not worn a hat before, it is completely normal not to know your exact size. Although manufacturers use labels such as M, L, XL or one size, they are often approximate and can be misleading.

The most reliable way to determine your size is by measuring your head circumference in centimeters (for example 55, 56, 57… 61 cm). This is the sizing we use as well, to help you make the most accurate choice.

How to measure your head circumference?

Use a measuring tape and measure around your head above the ears, in the area where you usually wear a hat. A good reference point is the widest part of the head, as this is where a hat typically fits best. It is recommended to measure several times to ensure accuracy. Do not pull the tape too tight, as this may result in a smaller than actual size.

If you do not have a measuring tape, you can use a string or ribbon – a simple trick we often recommend. After measuring, place the string against a ruler or measuring tape to find the exact length in centimeters.

What is important when choosing?

In addition to size, comfort also depends on the material, the shape of the model, the shape of the head and the volume of the hair. For this reason, different models in the same size may fit and feel differently.

Helpful guidelines

If you fall between two sizes, it is better to choose the larger one for more comfort. The most common size for men in Europe is around 59 cm, while for women it is 56–57 cm.
